I started in the trades at 19, recruited into a franchise painting company, where I learned the thing that separates a thriving contractor from a struggling one: it's systems, not talent.
I became the first-ever franchisee for Shack Shine, launched the Vancouver franchise, and helped build the operations manual by testing every system in my own operation first. I produced the franchisee video training course used across the network.
Then I founded Colour Craft Painting & Franchising and grew it to 4 locations over 6 years. Every estimating template, every sales script, every hiring process. I built them all from scratch, on real jobs, with real crews.
